JSC was established in Enid, Oklahoma in 1893. They (& Dr. Charles Taliaferro) are our partners in the production of IronCutter. JSC developed, grows, and maintains the foundation field of IronCutter, preserving the genetics in Enid for shipment to sod producers.
INDEPENDENT TESTING
We covet stringent, 3rd party tests of IRONCUTTER. National (NTEP/National Turfgrass Evaluation Program), end user, state crop improvement associations, and independent certification agencies are all part of the necessary screening to produce persistent, quality Certified vegetative bermuda grass.
SPECIALTY TRAITS
Each year, Dr. Taliaferro screens thousands of plants in greenhouse, field, & demo trials. Of these, only a handful are selected for a 5 to 10 year development program. It is from this amazing effort that IronCutter was born.
This approach was highly successful in IronCutter specialty trait breakthroughs like extreme cold/drought tolerance, divot recovery, and sports field wear.
